Karen Jansky Koll Scholarship
An opportunity to support Emergency Nurses in the GTC ENA area and advance your professional growth.
The Greater Twin Cities Chapter of Emergency Nurses Association (GTC ENA) is pleased to announce the Karen Jansky Koll Scholarship to support Greater Twin Cities ED Nurses.
Karen, a dedicated ED Nurse, ENA member, and advocate of Minnesota ENA, mentored and advocated for continuing education and professional organization involvement throughout her career and into retirement! Her goal is to assist nurses with continuing education related to their professional organization.
This award is to assist a nurse from the Greater Twin Cities ENA Chapter area to attend an ENA class or Emergency Nursing conference.
Examples include, but are not limited to: regional ENA conferences, i.e., Cornerstones in Emergency Nursing (GTC ENA), Annual Essentials in Emergency Evaluation (Zumbro Valley ENA), or Brief Topics in Emergency Nursing (Central Chapter ENA), TNCC/ENPC courses not covered by an employer, or other ENA – related courses, such as BCEN Live conferences. As other ENA – related options become available, additional Emergency Nurse classes/conferences may be eligible for consideration.
Award Details
- Award amount: $300 (each award)
- Number of awards: 3 per year
- Disbursement: Mailed after proof of attendance
Eligibility
- Emergency department/Forensic nurses who live, or work, in the GTC ENA area.
Key Dates
- Submit your Application by August 20th, October 20th, January 20th, or April 20th. Awards are selected at the following quarterly chapter meetings, with notifications sent within one week afterward.
- Notification: Within 1 week of the quarterly chapter meeting
- Disbursement: After the Chapter Treasurer receives proof of attendance

- Confirmation: You will receive a submission confirmation email, and the Chapter President will notify applicants of the decision after the quarterly meeting.
