Stakeholder Breakfast: Safe Streets for Everyone Wednesday, July 10, 2019 7:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Minnesota Safety Council 474 Concordia Avenue St. Paul, MN 55103 Webinar This event will also be broadcast live on the web. Registration is required for online viewing. Instructions will be emailed to registered participants. About the Event Everyone is a pedestrian. Whenever you’re not in your vehicle, you’re a pedestrian. Walking provides essential connections between residential, retail, and commercial land uses as well as access to public transit, especially in urban and suburban areas. Unfortunately, walking has become increasingly risky in recent years, whether you’re walking the dog, traveling to work or school, exercising, or just taking a stroll. In this presentation, you’ll learn about efforts to increase the safety of people who walk from various “E” perspectives, including engineering, enforcement, education, and EMS.
